Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 62

Before & After
Case Details
This very nice lady presented because everyone was asking her if she was tired all the time. She felt that her mood did not match her looks and she felt that this was true because of the way her eyes looked. She felt that the hooding over her eyes and the bags underneath were aging her. The upper lid and brow are one cosmetic subunit, just like the cheek and the lower lid are another cosmetic subunit. This means that in order to effectively treat one, it is often best or necessary to treat both at the same time to get the best result. In this case, because there was descent of the brow as well as excess kin in the upper lid, both issues were addressed. An endoscopic (minimally invasive) approach was used to reposition the brow with small incisions. Following this, excess skin was trimmed from the upper lid to open that area up. A lower lid blepharoplasty was then performed and the fat pockets under her eyes were removed. To blend the lid and cheek after this, fat grafts were taken from the patient's abdomen and were injected into the cheek so that the hollows were filled and the patient has a very natural looking rejuvenation of bother her upper and lower lids.
