Most time in the "heavy neck" patient, things like liposuction, KYBELLA and CoolSculpting will not be a great answer. The reason is that the look of "heaviness" is not only from fat in the subcutaneous compartment (which is what those modalities treat). Also, if you do empty out the volume present under the chin and then do not address the excess skin, you will end up with floppy empty skin that looks like a "turkey neck". So for this beautiful patient, we identified those issues up front and did a lower face and neck lift to fix her issues. She had a deep plane facelift with a midline neck lift to really address all of the structures that were contributing to the fullness in her neck and under her chin. Here she is at six months. We think she looks terrific. What do you think??
