This lady had very large breasts that were causing her to have a lot of back, neck and shoulder pain. She enjoyed sports and outdoor activities, but her breasts were limiting her ability to participate in these types of events. She complained that she had to often wear two sports bras in order to be able to tolerate any significant amount of movement and activity. Dr. Collins performed a bilateral breast reduction on her and removed over 500 grams of breast tissue from each breast. This is an early postoperative result. The immediate benefit is self evident. In time, the breasts will soften and will become more rounded, but even in this early stage, she not only fits into her clothing better, but she also will have instant relief from her back, neck and shoulder pain. Once the six week recovery time was over, she was able to get back into her hobbies outside.
