The blepharoplasty, or eye lift, procedure is performed to rejuvenated and tighten the eyelids for patients who feel that their eyelids have developed a sagging, wrinkled, and/or puffy appearance. Once the procedure has been completed, the next phase of blepharoplasty will begin: blepharoplasty recovery.
For a two-week period after blepharoplasty surgery, it is recommended that the patient not put in contacts. Contacts can irritate the eyelid tissues, which will be weakened and healing during the blepharoplasty recovery period.
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Beth Collins will give you blepharoplasty recovery instructions to follow during a consultation at our office. Following these directions is the best way to experience an optimal healing period. To arrange a consultation, contact us today and schedule an appointment.
