What is the Microlaserpeel®?
The Microlaserpeel® utilizes light energy to remove dead skin cells that can give the surface of the skin a tired or dry look. One of the things that makes the Microlaserpeel® unique is that it is adjustable to reach various depths of the dermis, allowing for the treatment to be tailored to the specific concerns and needs of the patient.
How Can the Microlaserpeel® Benefit Me?
The Microlaserpeel® has the ability to treat sun damage, scars, keratosis, wrinkles and off-color skin pigmentation as well as other imperfections of the skin. The removal of the surface layer of dead skin cells leaves room for and speeds up the production of healthy skin cells to take their place, resulting in the treated skin taking on a younger, tighter and healthier look.
The full benefits of the treatment can be further elaborated by one of our professionals during your consultation appointment.
Is it Safe?
The Microlaserpeel® treatment is a non-surgical process that works superficially, most patients with surface level maladies can get through the operation without the use of anesthetic and for deeper treatments only a minor numbing cream is typically required. During the consultation prior to the treatment, one of our professionals will sit down with you to discuss your medical history in order to figure out if you have any pre-existing medical conditions that may require further evaluation before the procedure.
The most common side effects include tenderness and redness of the skin that could be considered akin to that of a minor to moderate sunburn. These effects should take about a week or two to subside if they do occur. After the treatment, it is recommended that the patient avoids direct sunlight and uses some sort of ultra violet protection such as sunscreen when they are outdoors.
Am I Qualified for the Treatment?
If you possess any of the aforementioned skin conditions or are just dissatisfied with the aging that is apparent on your skin, you may applicable for the Microlaserpeel® treatment, though a consultation appointment is needed for confirmation.
