This patient had lumpectomy with radiation for breast cancer. She had marked asymmetry and deformities. These were corrected by reconstructing her left breast with implant reconstruction and performing a symmetry procedure on her right breast with a mastopexy and augment procedure on the right.
This patient had an implant reconstruction with a saline implant on the right breast twenty years ago. She had nothing done on her right breast at the time. Her implant deflated suddenly one afternoon and she presented to the office. She underwent an implant exchange on the right, using a gel implant this time, and a mastopexy on the left breast with a vertical pattern (or lollypop) skin incision. The patient opted against having a nipple reconstruction.
Months Post-Op: 2
Implants Used: gel or “gummy bear” implant
Reconstruction Notes: This is a revision of a reconstruction that was done elsewhere twenty years ago.
