This patient had breast cancer in her left breast. She had an oncoplastic breast reduction to reconstruct her left breast after her lumpectomy and reduce the size of her right breast to achieve symmetry.
This patient had a right sided breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy planned and was going to require a large volume of resection followed by radiation. To avoid postoperative and post-radiation deformity, she was referred for an Oncoplastic Breast Reduction.
Months Post-Op: 6
This patient had a left breast lumpectomy. During the same procedure, she had an oncoplastic breast reduction of the left breast to fill in the defect caused by the lumpectomy and to prevent deformity. At the same time, she had a reduction of her right breast to achieve symmetry.
This patient had a right sided breast cancer. She needed a large lumpectomy that would be followed by radiation. An Oncoplastic Breast Reduction was performed to prevent surgical and radiation deformities and to reconstruct her breasts in a symmetrical way. The right breast is left slightly larger in these cases because radiation will cause the breast on this side to shrink a bit.
